In order to assist with financial planning for your student’s Senior year, West Stokes is providing the following information about both necessary and discretionary expenses that will arise over the course of this year. The designated dates for any events described below will be announced on the Senior Class Homepage.
FORMAL TUXEDO/DRAPE PHOTOGRAPH: West Stokes would like to ensure that every Senior has been photographed in formal attire as these images will be used in the Annual. Families may purchase copies of these photographs, but are not obliged to do so. The date for these photographs will be announced on the Homepage. Students will be assigned individual appointments. A small Sitting Fee may be required, however students in financial need may see Ms. Lankford to obtain a waiver for this fee.
ANNUAL: Students may purchase their Senior year Annual online for $76 by clicking the "Yearbook Information" link, under the INFORMATION tab on the West Stokes Website.
SENIOR ADS: Families may wish to purchase a "Senior Ad" which will be placed in the Annual. These tributes to specific graduates can be a memorable way to acknowledge the achievements of graduating students. Please contact Ms. Lankford or an Annual Staff member for more information and pricing.
SAT / ACT: If your student intends to apply to a 4-year college, it is necessary that your student takes the SAT and/or the ACT, depending on which institutions your student wishes to attend. A fee will be assessed for each test taken. Please contact the Guidance Department if you believe your family qualifies for a Fee Waiver for these tests.
For more information, please see APPLYING TO 4-YEAR COLLEGE
4-YEAR COLLEGE APPLICATION FEES: Many colleges and universities will require prospective students to pay a processing fee along with their application for admission. Please be aware that CFNC.org, a college information site for North Carolina schools, has in the past offered application fee waivers on specific weekends for many in-state schools. Please visit this site often to discover the dates of any such events for this academic year; the savings could be substantial.
